We have an exciting new employment opportunity for a Hospice Director of Patient Care Services to provide clinical supervision of a hospice branch in Walnut Creek, California.  The chosen candidate will supervise hospice personnel and facilitate compliance with agency policy and regulatory standards. 
 
The DPCS plays an active role in educating staff relative to care, service, and compliance.  This is a great opportunity for a Hospice Director of Nursing to join a company committed to providing comfort, support, dignity, and quality care. 
 
We require a Registered Nurse / RN with prior supervisory experience in a hospice environment.  Strong clinical skills are required.  This is a highly compensated position that offers a market-leading benefits package. 
 
Hospice Director of Patient Care Services responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision of Hospice staff
  • Maintain full responsibility for day-to-day quality of care, services, and costs
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet patient / family needs
  • Ensure productivity standards are being met by all disciplines
  • Integration of clinical services comprehensive care plan
  • End responsibility for assessment and evaluation, intervention, and documentation
  • Regularly visit contracted facilities to maintain a good working relationship with management and staff
 
Hospice Director of Patient Care Services qualifications:
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Hospice Benefits
  • Prior hospice supervisory experience
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
